The McMenamin
& Wing Show

A Pennsylvania workers' comp law firm wanted to educate injured workers and be the trusted name in their field. MDV Productions built them a show from nothing: the brand, the studio, the production and the distribution.

Brand identity

A Show That
Looks the Part

Before a single episode was recorded, I designed the show's identity: logo, animated intro, color system, podcast cover art and thumbnail templates, all documented in a brand guide so every release looks consistent.

  • Show logo and animated intro
  • Podcast cover art (3000 × 3000 px)
  • YouTube banner, profile and thumbnail system
  • Lower thirds and on-screen graphics
  • Brand guidelines document

The studio

Built From
the Ground Up

I designed and built a permanent podcast studio inside the firm's Jenkintown office. Warm practical lighting, acoustic treatment, broadcast microphones and a multi-camera setup make every episode look and sound like a professional broadcast, ready to record any time.

  • Set design and build-out
  • Multi-camera Sony FX3 cinema setup
  • Broadcast audio and RØDECaster workflow
  • Lighting designed for the brand's look

The show

Full Episodes,
Every Time

Each episode runs around 55 minutes. Host Joe Dougherty and managing partner Tom Wing sit down with guests from law, medicine and business to explain how Pennsylvania workers' comp really works. I handle the shoot, the multi-camera edit, graphics, color and audio.

04

Clips

One Episode,
a Week of Content

Every episode is cut into 5+ long-form highlight segments for YouTube and 10+ vertical reels with captions and on-screen titles for social media. One recording session feeds the firm's channels all week.

Clips for Guests, Too

Guests get their own branded reels to share with their audience, which brings new viewers back to the show. These were cut for attorney Matt Solomon of Dion, Solomon & Shapiro from Episode 4.

Distribution

Released
Everywhere

A great episode doesn't help anyone if nobody finds it. Every release goes out with SEO-optimized titles, descriptions, timestamps and show notes that drive listeners back to the firm's free consultation, and the firm gets a distribution report for each episode.

  1. Record

Multi-camera video and broadcast audio in the studio.

  2. Edit

Full episode with intro, lower thirds, color and mix.

  3. Package

16:9 and 1:1 thumbnails, titles, timestamps and SEO show notes.

  4. Clip

Vertical shorts and highlight segments from each episode.

  5. Publish

Released to every platform, plus a distribution report.
